Ymir was both highly knowledgeable (and not just on the sights we were being treated to, but also on subjects as diverse as politics, Iceland’s history, and the environment!), and couldn’t have been more helpful.
For us, the real highlight, other than the delicious food, was bathing (complete with fizz, even though only around ten in the morning!) in the hot springs at The Secret Lagoon. We pretty much had the whole pool to ourselves. What a way to get proceedings started. However, not far behind that were the amazing geysers and the stupendous waterfalls we saw, together with the beautiful lunch at the tomato greenhouses and the dinner at the Icelandic farm, including the best burgers I can ever recall tasting.
Wow – a highly recommended day, and the quickest way of understanding a bit more about what Iceland has to offer that I can think of.
Thanks, Ymir.
