My daughter and I just returned from a short vacation to Iceland for the first time. I searched for a tour that would make the most of our limited time and combine activities. I found the Magical Iceland Gourmet tour, and it was just as its name suggests. We had never taken a private tour in the past and were a bit concerned about the price. However, it was more than worth the price! We toured all the sights of the Golden Circle and more in complete luxury. This was a first class tour from beginning to end. I corresponded with Ymir over email to schedule the tour and he was quick to respond and wanted some of our personal information in order to have a personal tour. Our guide was Bjorn and he was wonderful. He was able to answer all of our questions and provided much insight into the Iceland culture. The food was some of the best I have tasted. There were many samples beginning with a breakfast bread in the car along with water and juice. Our stop at the Secret Lagoon was very relaxing and included numerous samples along with a bottle of Cava. Lunch was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the greenhouse. We really wanted an opportunity to interact with the Icelandic horses so Bjorn made that happen for us. It was a wonderful added bonus. Bjorn also took pictures of my daughter and myself at the different locations. He had those emailed to us before the evening was over. It was a special added touch. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to any Iceland travelers.
