About 18 of us spent a day and a half with Ymir and his wife (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, but she was delightful). The half day walking food tour of Reykjavik was fun. Delicious/interesting (fermented shark! Not as bad as it sounds) food! Ymir was full of fun and interesting stories of Iceland.
The next day Ymir took us on the Golden Circle Tour. As we boarded our coach in the morning, Ymir handed out ymmy Icelandic pastries to enjoy. Our first stop was the Secret Lagoon. While we were relaxing in the warm water, Ymir and his wife served us tastes of food and we toasted with local rubarb juice and champagne.
We also visited awesome tomato greenhouses where the local farmer served us bloody marys and tasty tomato soup.
Ymir also took us to Gullfoss, Geyser, and Pingvellir National Park.
Ymir made the whole day fun and interesting. He is truly passionate about his country of Iceland and I think that some of that passion rubbed off on all of us. I highly recommend Ymir for any Iceland tour.
